Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming back Emma Green (May), an alumna from 1988–1999. Disappointed not to be able to join us next month for our annual Afternoon Tea & Tour, she got in touch and we were delighted to arrange a personalised school tour.

Starting at the canteen, previously the gym in Emma’s school days, she was able to speak with the legendary Simon Morris, whom she remembered fondly. Following a tour of the Prep School, including Batnor’s Hall, she recalled having lots of music lessons there. As we walked around the Senior School, we reflected on how assemblies once took place in the corridor of the main building, something almost unthinkable now!

Later, we explored the archives and uncovered wonderful photos of Emma from both her Junior and Senior School years. She also very kindly brought in a fantastic collection of memorabilia from her mum’s loft, who had kept past uniforms, whole school photographs, and a plethora of awards and certificates.

Following her visit, we were pleased to reconnect her with one of her favourite former teachers, Mrs Osborne, and we look forward to hearing all about their reunion.

We look forward to welcoming Emma back again in the future and wish her all the very best as she continues her travels around the UK.
