We are proud to unveil our newly installed Alumni Boards, now permanently displayed in Le Clerc. These boards celebrate the achievements, ambitions and diverse career paths of former pupils, offering powerful examples of where a Lingfield education can lead.
Showcasing success across finance, law, engineering, sustainability, sport and healthcare, the Alumni Boards recognise the accomplishments of our alumni while inspiring current pupils through real world stories of hard work, resilience and self belief.
Charlotte Dyer (Class of 2002)
A Pride of Britain Award winner, Charlotte Dyer is now Financial Investors Chief of Staff at Deloitte. Her journey reflects a career built on resilience, determination and confidence in one’s own abilities.
Charlotte credits Lingfield College with developing far more than academic knowledge. She describes learning to face challenges head‑on, bounce back from setbacks and believe in herself, lessons that continue to shape her professional life today.
Billal Malik (Class of 2006)
Billal Malik has built a distinguished career in global finance and is currently a Managing Director at Citi. After leaving Lingfield College, Billal achieved a BA with First Class Honours from Imperial College London and completed Levels 1 and 2 of the Chartered Alternative Investment Association qualification.
Billal reflects on his time at Lingfield College as providing an exceptional academic and personal foundation. He speaks warmly of the school’s vibrant and supportive environment, which enabled pupils to excel across a wide range of disciplines, alongside formative experiences on the sports field competing against other schools.
Sophie Payne (Class of 2006)
Sophie Payne is Operations Director of Transportation at AtkinsRéalis and was named Engineer of the Year (Civils/Infrastructure) at the Women in Construction Awards 2017. She studied Civil Engineering at the University of Bristol.
Sophie reflects on the breadth of opportunities available at Lingfield College, from academics to music, drama, DofE and sport, which helped shape her into a well rounded leader. Having attended Lingfield College from nursery through to sixth form, she also credits the school with building early confidence in communication and leadership.
Kate Beare (Class of 2012)
Kate Beare is Director and Specialist Speech and Language Therapist at Wave Speech and Language Therapy. After studying English Language and Linguistics at the University of York, she completed an MSc in Speech and Language Therapy at City, University of London.
Having joined Lingfield at the age of two, Kate describes the school as instilling kindness, ambition and belief in what is possible. A phrase she still carries with her, “I can, I know I can” reflects the confidence and strong foundation Lingfield College provided as she built her career.
Chris Goodwin (Class of 2014)
Chris Goodwin currently works as Senior Environmental Sustainability Manager at Arsenal FC. He studied Chemistry at the University of Reading before completing an MSc in Green Chemistry and Sustainable Industrial Technology, combining scientific expertise with a strong commitment to sustainability.
Chris speaks gratefully of the support he received from Lingfield College’s staff throughout his time at the school. As Head Boy, he developed leadership, diligence and resilience, skills that were nurtured during sixth form and have remained central to his career journey.
Ryan Fincham (Class of 2017)
Ryan Fincham graduated with a BA with First Class Honours in Law from Pembroke College, University of Oxford, and is now a Pupil Barrister at 4 New Square Chambers.
Ryan credits Lingfield College with developing his ability to think critically and independently. Encouraged to challenge ideas and bring his own perspective, he views these skills as essential both to the legal profession and to navigating the modern world.
Theo Goff (Class of 2022)
Theo Goff has achieved remarkable success in the world of powerlifting, including becoming a Commonwealth Champion and winning medals on the world and European stage. His achievements reflect extraordinary dedication, discipline and ambition.
Reflecting on his time at Lingfield College, Theo highlights the importance of self‑belief and perseverance. He credits the supportive school environment with giving him the confidence to aim high and pursue his goals with determination, qualities that continue to drive his success today.
The Alumni Boards demonstrate that success takes many forms. Whether in sport, engineering, finance, sustainability, healthcare or law, Lingfield alumni continue to make us proud and inspire the next generation.
