From Head Boy to Governor: Matthew Barrie returns to Lingfield College.

We are proud to welcome Old Lingfieldian Matthew Barrie (2007–2013) back to the School as a Governor.

During his time at Lingfield College, Matthew served as Head Boy before going on to study Politics, Philosophy and Economics at the University of York. His career has since taken him around the world, with roles in China, the Philippines and Germany, before founding his London-based technology company, Quiver, in 2021.

Matthew’s connection to Lingfield runs deep, his sister is also an Old Lingfieldian, and his mother has been a member of the Prep School teaching team since 2009.

Alongside his professional achievements, Matthew is an accomplished ultra marathon runner, completing the Marathon des Sables in 2025.

We are delighted to see Matthew giving back to the Lingfield community in this new role and look foward to welcoming him to Alumni events soon.
