Inaugural Charity Golf Day Raises Over £2,500 for The Lingfield Foundation
The Lingfield Foundation was delighted to host its inaugural charity golf day on 23rd April at Westerham Golf Club, bringing together members of our wider community for a memorable day of sport, sunshine and generosity.
With beautiful weather throughout the day, the course in excellent condition and some very impressive golf played, the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly from start to finish. The day concluded with a shared meal and prize giving, rounding off what was a thoroughly enjoyable occasion for all involved.
Thanks to the generosity of everyone who took part, the event raised just over £2,500 for The Lingfield Foundation, helping to support the Foundation’s ongoing work. We are extremely grateful to all the golfers who joined us and contributed to making the day such a success.
One particularly heart‑warming moment came when a team who were sadly unable to play at the last minute due to work commitments very kindly donated their four‑ball to a team of students. The students embraced the opportunity and went on to achieve an excellent second‑place finish, creating a memorable highlight and perfectly reflecting the spirit of the day.
We would also like to thank the many businesses and individuals who supported the event behind the scenes, including our sponsors and those who generously donated prizes for the raffle and auction. Their contributions played an important role in the event’s overall success and were very much appreciated.
A special thank you goes to Stacy (Stacyshootsbrands), our event photographer, who generously gave her time to attend the day and capture the atmosphere both on and off the course. She enjoyed meeting the golfers and guests, and her photographs beautifully reflect the camaraderie, energy and enjoyment throughout the round. A selection of team photos and winners’ images can be viewed in the gallery below.
As our very first charity golf day, the event provided invaluable experience, great feedback and plenty of enthusiasm for the future. Plans are already taking shape to return in 2027, building on the success of this year and continuing to bring our community together in support of The Lingfield Foundation.
We would like to thank everyone involved, from golfers and volunteers to supporters and donors, for their generosity, good humour and willingness to get involved. We look forward to welcoming familiar faces and new participants alike when we go again!
