Jess Celebrates Next Gen PPA Award Success

Congratulations to Old Lingfieldian Jess Steer who has recently been recognised with a prestigious Next Gen PPA Award, celebrating emerging talent within the media and publishing industry.

Since leaving Lingfield College, Jess has built an exciting career in marketing and events and is currently working as a Senior Events Marketing Executive at EMAP, where she plans and delivers marketing campaigns across multiple brands.

Reflecting on her role, Jess said:

"My role is varied and involves everything from developing creative ideas and campaign content to writing copy, managing timelines, coordinating with internal teams and external partners, and reviewing campaign performance."

Working in a fast-paced media and events environment has enabled Jess to develop strong organisational, communication and project management skills. Alongside managing a small team, she often oversees several campaigns and projects simultaneously, balancing competing priorities while delivering high-quality results.

Jess enjoys the variety that marketing offers and the opportunity to combine creativity with strategic planning.

Speaking about winning the award, Jess said:

"Winning the PPA Award was a really special moment for me. It was a great recognition of the hard work I've put into developing my career so far. It also gave me a real sense of how far I’ve come since leaving Lingfield College and reminded me of how much you can achieve by being open to opportunities, working hard and continuing to learn and challenge yourself."

Looking ahead, Jess is excited to continue developing her career within the media and events industry, taking on increasingly ambitious and creative projects. She also hopes to broaden her experience across different areas of marketing and, in time, take on a larger leadership role where she can support and inspire others starting their own careers.

We are incredibly proud of Jess and all she has achieved. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition, and we look forward to following the next chapter of her career.
