We are proud to annouce our first speaker - Rich Martell, Co-Founder of Orderswift and Co-owner & Director of Buckmore Park Karting
Rich is a technology entrepreneur and investor. He started his first company at 15 years old building websites while he was still at school. After studying Computer Science at UCL he joined Goldman Sachs and later Nomura before moving back to entrepreneurship and starting Orderswift, a hospitality software company. He's passionate about using technology to solve big problems and find efficiencies in businesses he has built or bought.
We are proud to annouce our second speaker - Leonora Surtees, Director or Buckmore Park Karting and Founder of Martell-Surtees Interiors
Leonora graduated from Newcastle University with a degree in Business Management, and her career began in various HR and business leadership roles in London for brands including Kurt Geiger and Tiffany & Co. Leonora then joined her family business Buckmore Park Karting to lead a £1m investment and turnaround project. She now continues as a Director of Buckmore Park Karting and in 2022 founded Martell-Surtees Interiors having retrained during the pandemic. Martell-Surtees is a boutique interior design studio for residential and commercial clients.
We are proud to annouce our third speaker - Eren Hasan, Director of Catersales
Eren is a Director at Catersales with 16 years of experience delivering insight-led design and build solutions across the hospitality and foodservice sector. He has worked with organisations from schools and corporates to independent operators and high-street brands, helping them sharpen their concepts and create efficient, customer-ready spaces. Eren is often brought in by mid-sized brands looking to accelerate growth, valued for his clear thinking and practical, results-focused approach. He enjoys discussions around problem-solving, ambitious personal goal setting and the challenges of running & growing a business.
We are proud to announce our fourth speaker - Kate Beare, Director at Wave Speech and Language Therapy
Kate qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist in 2015. During her time working in the NHS and at a charity special school, Kate realised something important: Speech and Language Therapy could be delivered differently. There was space for creative, outcomes driven practice. In 2021, she took the leap of faith and founded Wave. Fast forward 2.5 years and Wave is now a growing team of eight Speech and Language therapists and two speech and language therapy assistants. We are led by out of the box thinking and a deep commitment to understanding the needs of our young people. We are currently: running the provision in four FE colleges, working alongside youth justice teams, part of a government funded project piloting a specialist task force model for young people with SEMH and delivering remote training programmes on all thing's communication.
We are proud to announce our fifth and final speaker - Steve Bedford, Chief Executive Officer at Detillens
Steve has over thirty years of Recruitment, Search, leadership Development and Management Consulting experience. He has worked in Commerce, Public sector and for the last twenty years Financial Services. He has put together diverse teams and has been instrumental in putting senior individuals into corporate organisations.
In 2020 Steve set-up Detillens, a consulting firm that brings fresh thinking, diverse hiring and real added value to clients. This has grown over the past 6 years, and he now runs a payroll for 58 staff. The primary focus at Detillens is graduates with 0-5 years’ experience, all consultants receive world-class mentoring and training, and for the graduates this enables them to bridge the gap between academia and the business world.
